3. Calling all foodies…
Mudder’s Day is a celebration of the earth in the commons on Mothers day, May 11th and we are looking for people with a passion for food to share their wares and express themselves through the food of our lands.
There are many ways to contribute your gifts:
You can make a donation
You can vend your wares in the field
Or you can come and enjoy the festivities and foods from some of our finest local providers.
If you are interested in vending at this event you must obtain a vendors permit. Applications for this can be found on the Mudder’s Day website at www.muddersday.com. Vendors will now have to act fast in order to get the permit in time for the event. If you are vending and making a profit, we suggest making a 10% donation towards the event.
We also need some help with food preparations. Anyone who wants to play with some food and create this plentiful feast please contact me, Tyler Haut (contact below). I need people On Saturday pre-event and for Sunday during and after the event. If you love food this promises to be a very fun and creative process.
This event is about honoring our planet and sharing wisdom on how to maintain its rich resources. In order to keep this free festival even freer, food for the event is being graciously collected from local sponsors and will be distributed by donation to the public. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to Mudder’s Day and the Food Action Committee (FAC) of the Ecology Action Center (EAC). The FAC promotes socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable ways of growing, processing, and distributing food. For more information about FAC visit www.ecologyaction.ca/food_action All of our sponsors names and websites will be posted on the event program and on the Mudder’s Day website which will continue to host an events calendar throughout the year.
We are looking for more participants to help make this event as delicious as we can. If you are interested in making a contribution to the festival, or are interested in vending at the festival please contact me, Tyler Haut at tylerhaut@hotmail.com.
See you Sunday in the commons.
